Johnny Lewis

Growing up Johnny raced flat track starting at age 6 on his first yamaha, a PW 50. after the first race his dad knew it was time to get a faster bike and saw that he enjoyed the races and figured they would continue going to races. Johnny's dad, always a motorcycle rider, but never raced was limited to knowledge about racing and learned as quick if not quicker then Johnny. With great bikes and a every willing father, they traveled to many races, not always staying at there local tracks. His father saw the importance of going to new tracks and learning on many different types of dirt and racing other racers.

Within 10 years, Johnny won hundreds of flat track races, Regional, and National races, with 5 AMA Sports Amateur Flat Track Championships, Cycle News Fast Brain Award, AMA Sports Flat Track Horizon Award, and the AMA Sports Athlete of the year.

After finishing his amateur career, Johnny made a jump to the AMA Supermoto National Champion with the Factory supported HMC/ KTM Generations of Sonoma Wines Team. With a July birthday, he missed the first round of the Supermoto season, but made a name for himself by getting the holeshot over Mark Burkhart and the rest of the AMA Supermoto Lites field and finished 4th in his first professional race. The next season he got the ride with HMC Factory KTM Team and 2 seasons later, Johnny has 8 podiums and 1 AMA pro career win.

In 2009, Johnny teamed up with Mike Scott of Scott Powersports to return to his roots to race the AMA Grand National Singles Flat Track series. Johnny earned a 13th, 11th, and 7th place in his first three scheduled races of the series. Johnny was invited to attend an AMA Pro Supermoto race in Las Vegas in May. While racing for the lead, Johnny and the race leader collided, resulting in a torn ACL for Johnny which ended his season.

Returning to flat track once again for the 2010 season, Johnny will be competing in the entire AMA Grand National Singles series as well as racing his Scott Powersport's built custom-framed Kawasaki Ninja 650 in select races in the AMA Grand National Twins series.
